November 4 – November 10
This week felt pretty uneventful for me, with not much going on besides one work event. On Tuesday, I made a quick trip. home to cast my vote in the election. Unfortunately, the resulted played out exactly how I anticipated, which left me feeling disappointed. On the bright side, being home gave me a chance to see my parent’s cats. I hadn’t seen them in a while, so spending time with them was fun.

On Thursday, I attended an event at Scottsdale Quarter for Peter Millar, celebrating their collaboration with Mount Gay Rum. The invite came from a NYC-based PR Company, and to my surprise they provided Uber codes from transportation to and from the event. While this is more common in cities like NYC and LA, it’s rare in Arizona, so it definitely added a nice touch to the event. The event itself was a preview of the collection and a chance to try some cocktails. To top it off, I left with a great gift bag with a Peter Millar x Mount Gay Rum Golf Polo. While golfing isn’t exactly my thing, it’s a cool piece to have in case I ever decide to hit the greens. After the event, the Scottsdale Quarter was lit up with its stunning Christmas decorations. Walking through the festival display felt magical, reminding me why it’s one of my favorite places to see Christmas lights in Arizona.

This Sunday was anything by typical since I had to work. My full-time job called for a photoshoot, and the main focus was restyling a client’s bookcase as well as photographing a laundry room remodel. This wasn’t a quick touch up; we had to complete empty the shelves and style the new decor to achieve the perfect look. The effort was worth it, though. The final result was stunning! While it was a long photoshoot, clocking in at around 3 to 4 hours (especially on a day I usually don’t work), there’s something satisfying about seeing a visitor come to life through styling and photography.
