I’ve been a fan of La La Land Kind Cafe ever since I first tried it in Los Angeles during the spring break of my senior year of college. La La Land was hosting a pop-up with Summer Fridays and it immediately went on my must-visit list. The coffee was one of the best I’d ever had, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since then. When I heard that Arizona was getting its very own La La Land, I was beyond excited. I couldn’t wait to try the drinks again, and I’m happy to report they were just as good as I remembered.
I definitely wasn’t the only one excited about the opening. I arrived about 10 minutes after they opened, around 6:40 a.m., and still ended up waiting nearly two hours to get my drinks. Were the drinks amazing? Yes. Would I wait in line for two hours again? Probably not.

That said, the cafe itself was absolutely beautiful. From the crystal chandeliers to the pops of yellow throughout the space, every detail felt intentional. The thoughtful touches really stood out: heart-shaped straws and employees telling you they love you as you leave, something I hadn’t experienced at other locations. After waiting that long, I decided I deserved two drinks (especially since they were 50% off). I ordered the Strawberry Fields matcha, made with strawberry purée, and the World’s Vanilla Latte topped with flaky salt, both completely worth the hype.
